TwinsTracker Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026. Applies to the TwinsTracker app.
The short version
Your data stays on your device by default. TwinsTracker is a local-first baby tracker for twins: sleep, feeding and milk stash records are stored in your phone's local storage. Data leaves your phone only at the moment you turn on sharing with another caregiver. If you use the app on your own and never enable sharing, nothing is sent anywhere. There are no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, ever.
What data the app stores on your device
- Children's first names (or nicknames) and month + year of birth. We deliberately do not ask for the exact date of birth or any surname.
- Your tracking entries: sleep, breastfeeding, bottle feeds, pumping, milk stash, diaper changes and weight.
- App settings: language, night mode, license key.
Entries older than 30 days are deleted automatically. Weight entries are the one exception: they are kept until you delete them, because a growth record only makes sense over months — it is there for you to show at a check-up. You can delete any weight entry individually, and "Delete all data" removes them too.
What happens when you turn on sharing
Sharing is optional. It lets two caregivers (for example both parents, or a parent and a grandparent) see and add the same records from their own phones. When you enable it:
- You sign in with your e-mail address (magic link) or Google account. The e-mail address is used only for signing in and for showing other members of your household who is connected.
- Your records (first names, birth month and year, sleep and feeding entries, milk stash) are synced to a private database hosted by Supabase in the European Union (eu-west-1).
- Only members of your own household can see this data. Access is enforced by database-level security rules, and every synced record belongs to exactly one household.
- The same 30-day limit applies in the cloud: a daily cleanup removes entries older than 30 days from the server as well. Weight entries are kept, exactly as they are on your device.
Who can join your household
Only someone you give your invite code to. The household creator can remove any caregiver at any time; the invite code then changes automatically, so the old code stops working. A removed caregiver stops seeing new records immediately. Records that were already synced to their phone earlier remain on that device, as with any app.
What we never collect
- No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs are included.
- No health data is sold or transmitted to any third party.
- No account is required to use the app without sharing.
Purchases
If you purchase the app via Gumroad, your license key is checked once against Gumroad's license server (api.gumroad.com) to activate the app. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to the purchase itself. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed entirely by Apple or Google.
Deleting your data
You can delete any single entry or child inside the app. “Delete all data” (Children → Privacy) erases everything: your local data and your household's synced data in the cloud. If you created the household, deleting your data deletes the whole household from the server; if you joined one, you leave it and your copy is removed. Uninstalling the app removes all local data; if you had sharing on, use “Delete all data” first so the cloud copy is removed too, or e-mail us and we will delete it for you.
Frequently asked questions
Does TwinsTracker work without an account?
Yes. Without sharing, the app is fully offline and needs no account, e-mail or password.
Where is shared data stored?
In a private Supabase database in the European Union (region eu-west-1), protected by row-level security. Only your household members can read it.
Can I stop sharing with someone?
Yes. The household creator can remove a caregiver at any time and the invite code changes immediately.
How long is data kept?
30 days, both on your device and in the cloud. Older entries are deleted automatically. Weight entries are the exception — they stay until you delete them, so the growth record is still useful at a check-up months later.
Medical disclaimer
TwinsTracker is an orientation aid for your children's daily routine. It does not provide medical or health advice. Always consult your doctor or health advisor with questions about your child's health, feeding or sleep.
